Leaders finally complete Climate Tower of Glasgow, sound even more confused
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND – World leaders attending the COP26 Climate Summit have announced the completion of the ‘Climate Tower of Glasgow‘.
The whole world had attended (except key emitters China and India) and they all appeared to share a common vision about the crisis of climate change.
They said to each other “Come, let us create green energy technology and ban coal, and let us provide billions to developing countries and cut CO2 completely.”
Then they said “And let us build for ourselves a climate tower that reaches to the heavens and fixes the ozone layers, so that we may make a name for ourselves among our voters as leaders who are doing something.”
“That way we will not be scattered all over the earth by extreme floods and fires and hurricanes – oh my!”
But the LORD came down to see the tower that they were building.
The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same climate language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan will be impossible for them.”
“Surely they will turn totalitarian and make the poor and regional areas pay for carbon while themselves fly on private jets and own 5 non-energy efficient mansions.”
“Come, let us go down and confuse their policies so they will not understand each other.”
So the LORD scattered them from Glasgow all over the earth, removing a whole lot of hot air that was itself damaging the environment.
They all returned to their countries with confused climate and economic policies, and ultimately nothing was done.
